As reported by DROBRO, citing the 32nd Steel Brigade, soldier Vasyl Voskalo, a native of Drohobych, was awarded the Golden Cross by the Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces for exceptional courage and heroism in combat.
Vasyl serves as a mechanic-driver in the 32nd Steel Brigade, risking his life daily to deliver personnel, ammunition, and supplies to the front lines. His expertise has repeatedly saved military equipment and the lives of his comrades. On August 2, 2025, during a rotation, his crew came under mortar fire and a drone attack. Despite injured comrades and a damaged vehicle, Vasyl provided first aid and organized an evacuation from the danger zone, saving his fellow soldiers.
