Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), National Police, and the Office of the Prosecutor General have detained a man suspected of murdering Member of Parliament Andriy Parubiy
The suspect was apprehended in Khmelnytskyi Oblast. According to the investigation, the assassination attempt on the MP was carefully planned in advance: the perpetrator studied the victim’s travel schedule, mapped out a route, and prepared an escape plan, reports DROBRO.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the SBU and National Police, the suspect was identified within 24 hours of the attack and detained within 36 hours.
The investigation and apprehension were personally overseen by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Investigative actions are ongoing.
