According to DROBRO, citing Donetsk Oblast Governor Vadym Filashkin, Russian forces deliberately dropped three aerial bombs on Kostiantynivka’s hospital, which had been treating local residents until the attack.
“Strikes on civilian and social infrastructure are a deliberate choice by Russia, targeted terrorist acts,” Filashkin stated.Another three bombs hit Illinivka, killing two people and damaging five non-residential buildings.
The strike on Kostiantynivka’s hospital caused significant destruction, targeting one of the last medical facilities serving the local population. In Illinivka, the attack claimed two civilian lives and damaged infrastructure.
Filashkin emphasized that Russia’s targeting of civilian sites violates international humanitarian law, forming part of a broader campaign of terror against Ukraine’s population. Local authorities are calling for stronger international action to hold Russia accountable.
The attacks have sparked outrage across Ukraine, with social media users condemning Russian aggression. Citizens are demanding tougher sanctions against Russia and increased military aid to protect civilians from such atrocities.
